Main tasks of the occupational qualifications committees are:

to prepare the procedure for awarding process in cooperation with awarding body;
to approve, if necessary, the requirements for the place of assessment of occupational competence;
to examine the documents of the person applying for an occupational qualification and decide on the form and manner for assessment of the occupational qualification competence of the person applying for an occupational qualification;
to appoint, if necessary, assessment committee(s) to assess the conformity of the person applying for an occupational qualification with the requirements of the occupational qualification standard;
to approve the instructions for the organisation of an assessment and the examination materials;
to decide on awarding or refusing to award occupational qualification to the person applying for the occupational qualification;
to resolve the complaints submitted regarding the activities of the assessment committee.
