Kutsekoda as Estonian Europass Centre

Europass is an initiative of the European Commission, the objective of which is to help increase the mobility of citizens for the purposes of learning and work. Estonia’s Europass Centre has been operating since May 2005 as a unit of Kutsekoda. The Centre’s main tasks include introducing Europass documents to various target groups, administering the relevant information system, and cooperating with the information and consultation network.

What is Europass?

Europass helps individuals highlight their abilities in an effective way. It promotes the mobility of individuals throughout Europe by removing barriers to working, studying or training in Europe. It is free and enables people to present their competences, skills and qualifications in a clear way.
     
Europass consists of five documents to make your skills and qualifications clearly and easily understood in Europe:
 
Two documents freely accessible, completed by European citizens: 
o the CV helps you present your skills and qualifications effectively and clearly. You can create your CV online
   using tutorials or download the template, examples and instructions.
o the Language Passport is a self-assessment tool for language skills and qualifications. You can create your
   Language Passport online using tutorials or download the template, examples and instructions.
 
Three documents issued by education and training authorities:
o the Europass Mobility records the knowledge and skills acquired in another European country;
o the Certificate Supplement describes the knowledge and skills acquired by holders of vocational education
   and training certificates;
o the Diploma Supplement describes the knowledge and skills acquired by holders of higher education degrees.
